About Me

Growing up I dreamed of seeing the world. I watched my grandparents travel all over and heard their stories around the dinner table every summer and it just lit a fuse within me. My summer vacations with my family, our random weekend trips to my dads army model shows, endless camping trips, and road trips with friends all led to my decision to minor in travel and tourism in college.

I enjoyed every class I took and gained so much knowledge on the logistics of planning and what it would take to see the world. But I also learned how to make the most of locations that aren’t across the county or the sea. There’s so much beauty in discovering locations right around the corner and in other parts of the world.

Through college and on, weekends are spent finding new locations or planning our next destination. My husband and I currently don’t have any kids and are spending our time traveling as much as possible before we start our family. Whether that’s close by weekend trips or somewhere across the sea, we are just eager to see all we can.

And that is why I have started this blog.

I want to share my experiences near and far and help you find your next location. These are my open and honest opinions that come straight from the heart and my experiences. I go through it all; the tourist locations, the less explored destinations and the inbetween. I want people to go in with real expectations and not just the glamour that social media will make a destination out to be.

You should feel guided by your curiosity when you’re in a new location. I want to help people feel comfortable and have realistic expectations going into their trip and also know that some of the best experiences come from the places you stumble upon, not the ones planned out. Through this website you’ll find my itineraries, maps, recommendations, lengthy (basically me rambling) reviews, and also passion. No matter if I liked the location or not, you will find I hold a lot of passion behind my opinions and I will be honest with them.

I hope that this helps you find value in my opinions and advice and that you take them seriously. I also hope this blog helps you find the next destination that makes you feel guided by your curiosity. Please share your stories with me or ask any questions here! Let’s be guided by our curiosity and see the world.
